HORSEMENS ODE 2010!

Horsemen’s Pony Club held its first ODE since 2006 over the weekend of 19th & 20th June with near perfect weather conditions prevailing.
E, D, C & B grade PCAWA and non-PCAWA classes attracted a variety of competitors, from the more ‘seasoned’ eventers to the novice riders and horses.
The sandy, bush cross country course proved a challenge for riders – or, perhaps, challenged the fitness of their horses - with many incurring time penalties.
In the PCAWA classes, Laurel Baker from Wanneroo Pony Club finished
on her dressage score to win the B grade class with Playin the Game
and Horsemen’s own Mitchell Pringle won the C grade class
convincingly with his lovely grey pony, Yartarla Park Extasy.
The D grade class was won by Darlington PC’s Demi van Uden on Rollee Dizzee Rascle and Horsemen’s Caitlin Kirke whizzed around the E grade class to win on Alvarez Blueprint.
The open classes drew a mix of experienced and inexperienced horse
and rider combinations with the E & D grade cross country course
causing all riders to incur penalties.
Conor Robson clinched first place in the E grade with
Kemill Hill Veracious and Anna Blackman took the D grade with Ash
Ember Breeze. Melanie Love won the B grade with More Illusions and
Sue Smith had a convincing win in the C grade with her stellar horse
Twix.
